Migrant children at school and the problem in migrants’ integration into educational system: analysis of migrant children’s school careers; school as an institute of socialization, and hence migrants’ integration into the new community; difference between ethnic groups in the sphere of education, development of methods and collection of statistics concerning migrant children at school.

Research on the educational mobility of students in the СIS views it from the vantage point of view of migration studies: we study students who come to Russia, examine the migration network system and institutions that support migration, analyze factors defining migration strategies (including the decision of whether to return home, to stay or move further – for example, to Europe).
